๐Ÿงฐ iMatch Preparation Guide

Welcome to iMatch documentation! Our docs are structured to get you up and running quickly with real-world use cases in mind:

  1. Preparation โ€“ What you need to begin (this page)
  2. Features Overview โ€“ Detailed explanations of each feature (see features.md)
  3. How-To Guides โ€“ Step-by-step guides for real-world match scenarios

No installation needed โ€” iMatch321 runs entirely in your browser!

โœ… What You Needโ€‹

  • A phone, tablet, or any device with an internet browser
  • Optional: an iPad or tablet to serve as a digital scoreboard

๐Ÿ“ฑ Getting Startedโ€‹

  1. Open https://imatch321.com in your deviceโ€™s browser.
  2. Create a new competition โ€” either a 1-on-1 match or a round-robin event.
  3. Once created, a QR code will appear for connecting scoreboard and controllers.

๐Ÿ“บ Set Up a Table-Side Scoreboard (Optional)โ€‹

  • Place an iPad on the umpireโ€™s table, where a physical scoreboard would usually go.
  • Open the match scoreboard using the match QR code.
  • Important: Make sure auto-screen off is disabled on the device to keep the display active.

๐ŸŽฎ Use a Phone as a Remote Controllerโ€‹

  • With your phone, scan the match QR code displayed on the scoreboard.
  • The phone becomes a remote umpire control panel, allowing you to update scores in real-time.

Thatโ€™s it โ€” no app installs, no setup complexity. Just bring your gear, scan in, and play!
